These draft terms describe BorderStar's current pilot boundaries and require legal review before commercial use.

Service and sources

BorderStar helps users research Canadian customs requirements and prepare or review brokerage work. It is independent software and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Canada Border Services Agency. Linked official sources and applicable law govern; the service's summaries and alerts may be incomplete or delayed.

Professional decisions

Outputs are research assistance, not a binding classification ruling, legal opinion, customs release, or guarantee of compliance. Users must verify material decisions against current official sources and use qualified professional judgment.

Broker operations

Preparing a shipment in BorderStar does not transmit a declaration or establish a CBSA release. Transmission and live status functions require a separately configured, authorized provider and the relevant brokerage approvals. The interface must identify when those capabilities are unavailable.

Accounts and customer data

Users must have authority to access their workspace and submit any information they enter or upload. Workspace owners should review member access and keep submitted information accurate. Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.

Pilot limitations

The current invite-only pilot has a progressively indexed source corpus and may disable AI or provider features. Availability, support commitments, data retention, liability terms, and the support process must be settled with counsel before a paid commercial release. BorderStar is an independent product by Harbour & Main. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) or any government agency.
